Functional sewing

Your machine is a vehicle to express creativity and art, but it also makes some things function better. Towels, for example. You can make a number of creative things from towels, you can decorate them and embroider them. But today, I made my everyday towels function better for our household.

I have four children and a husband. That ends up with lots of showers and towels to wash. The kids are not great at hanging their towels to use them more than once. And, let's face it, towels are a little hard to hang for a 6-year-old. Today, I attached leftover ribbon to one corner of my towels so the ribbon can loop over the towel hook.

Now, I did not stress over the color of the towel and the pattern of the ribbon or the color of the thread. These are everyday towels. And now they function better and will hopefully find their way to a hook.
