My daughter is a "big Minnie fan" so, naturally, she wanted to dress at Minnie for Halloween. I used a dress pattern with a puff sleeve, and pantaloons with lace on the hem. I purchased Minnie shoes and ears from the Disney Store.
She wore the costume in a fashion show that was a fund raiser to benefit a cancer support group.
Adventures in Sewing with Sandi
I meet the most interesting people in the sewing classes I teach. Some students return again and again, some just stay for a session. All need to be celebrated for the work they do. Enjoy...

So Much Sewing
I have been behind on posting all of my student's projects. I hope I have them all, I'm sorry if I missed anyone. If I did, please feel free to send me a picture. I will get it on.

St. Patrick's Apron

This apron started as a dishtowel. First, embroider the design on the bottom. Make a casing for the ribbon by folding down two inches on the opposite side of the embroidery design. Holding the casing side to your waist, fold the dishtowel up in front to the length you like. This fold will also form a pocket. Sew the sides to secure the fold. Sew either one or two vertical seams to create pockets. Put ribbon through casing. You are done.
